This blog has been dormant for a little while, but since we're having another baby, what better way to share some of our moments on here so I don't have to keep repeating myself all over again.
So...here it goes! We're expecting another baby! We are really excited about growing our family, and know that this was the perfect timing for all of it to happen. Carl and I were not trying to get pregnant. First, financially, the few years after Noah was born weren't the easiest. Next, we went through a few rollercoasters ourselves, but came out victorious! So...here we are now. Pregnant after first month of TTC! (I think my husband should get an award for this, honestly).
I am currently 20 weeks and I'm falling more and more in love with my family everyday. It's like...man! God, THANK YOU for letting me feel this love for all of these humans! I think having a second child is just as special as the first one because you get to reminisce on things that you wouldn't be able to do if this was your first. Carl and I spent a few hours last night talking about Noah, his birth story, the joys of parenting him, etc. We watched births online, and just filled up with joy knowing that God has entrusted us to go through this process again with this little one.
Although we are praying that this one's birth story will be different than Noah, we plan to love every minute of it just as much!
I was watching a few videos on Youtube today, and just got super happy. I cannot wait to meet this baby (actually I can wait another 18-20 weeks, but you get my drift). I cannot wait to love on a newborn, as it has been so long...especially since I have one of the most independent and intelligent child walking the face of the Earth.
I'm looking forward to the cuddles, the quiet moments, the spit ups, the cries, the yucky diapers, the lack of sleep LOL. I look forward to the newborn hazing that prepares us. But honestly, what I look most forward to is getting to be used by God to mold another child into being the best person they can be. I look forward to seeing my husband love on another newborn and get excited about dirty diapers and changes. I look forward to seeing Noah love on his sibling. I just feel like my heart is ready to burst out of my chest with happiness.
I had a crappy 2014 and beginning 2015. I am so thankful that God is a promise keeper and states that sorrow may last for one night, but joy comes in the morning! This is MY JOY! My child is MY JOY. I simply cannot wait to meet this little cute face that will add to the noise level of an already noisy house.
My heart is full, and all I can say is...Thank You Jesus...Thank You!
