One day, I'm going to thank Noah for all the lessons I've learned from the time he was in my belly and throughout his life! Some lessons I wish I didn't have to learn, but they have really made me the more productive person that I am today.
So what is this lesson Iearned today you ask? It's about antibiotics! I, for the life of me, can't remember when the dr has prescribed me something for a cold and I took that medication for the entire time the dr prescribed it for. As soon as I start feeling better, the medicine gets tossed to the side and forgotten about.
So recently I've learned that there is a reason why doctors give you a specific amount of medication to treat an infection. They aren't estimating... It's because the infection can still live in you if you don't take the medication for its alloyed one. I unfortunately had to learn this with Noah who had his first ever ear infection last month, and hen caught a cold AND had an ear infection this time! I blame myself 100% because the first time around, I did. It give him the medication for the amount of days the dr prescribed. Now, he has it again and I'm just burying my hand in the sand because I know it's all my fault.
Well, all I can do is live and learn. His time around, he will get the full medication, no ifs, ands, or butts! I will also be doing the same for myself. The next time I get sick, I will definitely take the antibiotic for the full 10 days!
So thank you Noah for making mommy grow up and learn these things! Your purpose on this earth is amazing!!!
